This continuation of a series of news articles in BiZZdesign offers you an overview of the newly added functionality, which, among other things, includes changes to the style of ArchiMate views and enhancements to generated views such as Color view.

The latest version of BiZZdesign is marked 4 and its last release was released on January 03, 2022. Cloud solutions are upgraded automatically after the release of a new version. 1. Style changes in ArchiMate views

The following changes have been made to the ArchiMate metamodel:

  • all views, except Total views classic, now use new fill and border colors that were previously only available in Total views new style,
  • all existing views in the models will automatically get new colors after migrating the model package to the latest tool configuration, the color changes that have been actively set by the user will be retained,
  • Total view new style and Total view classic have been removed from the root directory of the context menu New, Total view news style is now only available in the menu New -> Presentation, Total view classic is only on offer New -> Overview, the new Total view with new colors is now available at the root of the New menu and in the menu New -> Overview.

2. Lists support in Data Blocks

Several Data Blocks, except Text and Boolean, can now be defined as a list. In this case, it will be possible to add multiple values ​​of a given data type to the Data Block. Such values ​​can be sorted using || icon or cleaned using icon X.

3. Event audit logs available via Open API

It is now possible to obtain information from HoriZZon audit event logs via the BiZZdesign Open API. An Open API call has been implemented with relevant parameters that can be used to access logs. For this purpose, the Open API documentation has been updated, in section Open API specification.

Access to event logs via the Open API requires administrator permission for the API client. As a result, permissions in the HoriZZon API clients have been extended to include administrator and read permissions.

4. HoriZZon user export is password protected

Following the October 11, 2021 user export enhancements, the user export will now be emailed to the user in an encrypted zip file. The required password to open the zip file is pre-generated and provided to the user as soon as the Export User button is clicked. 5. Better text color contrast for generated color views

The text color for the generated color views in HoriZZon has been improved. When generating a color display on a view or diagram, the text color is now automatically adjusted to create a good contrast with the background color so that the text is always legible.

6. Improved HoriZZon Viewpoint performance

Improvements have been made to the performance of generated views in HoriZZon, such as Color view. Improvements are especially visible when looking at many objects.

When the HoriZZon language was set to a language with special characters, such as French or German, these special characters did not display correctly.
